Baboucarr Khan Chief Executive Officer

Baboucarr Khan is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA). He has seven years experience as a practising accountant during which time he was Head of Audit at KPMG and four years experience in the banking industry. Prior to joining Reliance, Baboucarr served as Head of Consumer Banking with Standard Chartered Bank ( Gambia ) Limited for three years.  

Ismaila Faal Chief Operating Officer 

 Ismaila Faal was most recently the head of SME Banking at Standard Chartered Bank ( Gambia ) Limited.  He has nearly 15 years experience in the financial services industry and has worked both in The Gambia and the United Kingdom, where he worked with Norwich Union Insurance Plc. Ismaila was part of the team that set up Guaranty Trust Bank (GTB) in The Gambia, he held the role of Deputy Manager in GTB's consumer banking division. Ismaila is a graduate of London Metropolitan University.

Ya Amie Njai-Sima - Head, Human Resources and Administration

Ya Amie is the Head of Human Resources and Administration and also has added on responsibilities of oversight management of the Marketing and Corporate Affairs Departments. Ya Amie is a graduate of the University of Greenwich (United Kingdom) with a BA Honours Degree in Human Resources Management. She has been with Reliance from inception in 2006 and served in various roles as Marketing Officer, Relationship Manager and Head of Marketing and Corporate Affairs until her recent appointment in 2009 as Head of HR and Administration. Her main responsibility includes and not limited to ensuring that the company’s people management policies and procedures are in line with policy as defined by the Board Remuneration Committee and the labour laws of The Gambia and to offer technical and administrative support to management in managing staff performance as well as to manage the company’s salaries and benefits systems. Ya Amie is happily married and has two kids, a boy and a girl.  

Amie Koleh Senghore Njie – Head, Internal Audit

Amie Koleh Senghore Njie is the Head of Internal Audit. She is a graduate of the University of Toledo (USA) with a BA Degree in Business Administration (Major in Finance; Minor in Business Analysis). She was the first employee of Reliance and has served as a Relationship Manager and Internal Audit Officer up until her appointment as Head of Internal Audit in 2009. Amie’s main duty is to work with her team, to provide prudent audit coverage throughout the entire network of Reliance in line with a comprehensive audit program and to also execute risk based quarterly audit plans for all departments within the Company in order to assist management in fulfilling their responsibilities relating to risk management and internal controls. Amie Koleh is happily married and has a baby girl.
